Hovering Hawks Quilt Block

I just added the Hovering Hawks Quilt Block to MyWebQuilter.com .  Here are three versions colored with fabrics available on the Color Block page.         This block is a nine patch with half square triangles.  Rotating and flipping this block in a quilt give many beautiful variations.       The last one is using a stripped fabric.  Very cool quilt design.

Split Nine Patch Block

The Split Nine Patch Block has been added to MyWebQuilter.com Quilt Block Library .  This is a very simple block that is asymmetrical and into many interesting patterns. Here are examples of the block in several colors.       The single block quilt option at MyWebQuilter.com lets you play with quilt layouts and colors.  Here are a few options using the Split Nine Patch.

Helping Quilts of Valor Project

I received a very nice email from a user of MyWebQuilter.com.  She wrote:   "Wonderful software.  I am the leader of a Quilts of Valor quilting group, Not Forgotten QOV.  We are all volunteers who make our quilts to be presented to service members and veterans to thank them for their service.  We are planning a sewing marathon for February 2016.  Tomorrow our group is going to start cutting out 20 quilt kits for the marathon.  We are planning very simple quilts for this event.  Your software has enabled me to design them and print them out so that we can get cutting and sewing."   I am very glad my software helped your project!  My dad was a Vietnam veteran.  Not Forgotten QOV is a great organization helping our veterans.

Mobile Friendly Quilt Calculators

The place you really need a quilt calculator is when you are shopping for fabric!  The quilting calculators at MyWebQuilter.com have been made easier to use on your small mobile phone screen.  Use the quilt backing, quilt binding and quilt border calculators to quickly and easily figure fabric requirements when you are shopping.

New Half Square Triangle How-to and Calculator

I just added a "How-to" for making Half Square Triangles 4 at a time to MyWebQuilter.com.  Click here . Such a time saver! I also added a calculator to help figure out how large to cut squares when making half square triangles.  Enter your desired finished quilt block size.  The half square triangle calculator tells you sizes to cut for the 2 at a time and 4 at a time half square triangle methods.
