I just added a free Square in Square quilt block calculator to MyWebQuilter.com . You can enter either the finished square size or the inside square size.  The calculator makes sure you always have a minimum 1/4 inch seam beyond the inside square points.

New Quilt Sash Calculator

I added a new calculator to MyWebQuilter.com to quickly calculate quilt sash fabric requirements.  Just enter the number of columns, rows, block size and sash width.  Additional options include calculations in inches or CM and including a border the same size as the sash.  Click on Calculate to get your sash fabric requirements, quilt dimensions and instructions.  All the MyWebQuilter calculators are easy to use on your mobile phone!

Hovering Hawks Quilt Block

I just added the Hovering Hawks Quilt Block to MyWebQuilter.com .  Here are three versions colored with fabrics available on the Color Block page.         This block is a nine patch with half square triangles.  Rotating and flipping this block in a quilt give many beautiful variations.       The last one is using a stripped fabric.  Very cool quilt design.      

Split Nine Patch Block

The Split Nine Patch Block has been added to MyWebQuilter.com Quilt Block Library .  This is a very simple block that is asymmetrical and into many interesting patterns. Helping Quilts of Valor Project

I received a very nice email from a user of MyWebQuilter.com.  She wrote:   "Wonderful software.  I am the leader of a Quilts of Valor quilting group, Not Forgotten QOV.  We are all volunteers who make our quilts to be presented to service members and veterans to thank them for their service.  We are planning a sewing marathon for February 2016.  Tomorrow our group is going to start cutting out 20 quilt kits for the marathon.  We are planning very simple quilts for this event.  Your software has enabled me to design them and print them out so that we can get cutting and sewing."   I am very glad my software helped your project!  My dad was a Vietnam veteran.  Not Forgotten QOV is a great organization helping our veterans.
